The M/Y Resolute is a Dive and Pleasure boat that is now traveling in the Philippines. She has been in operation since 1998 and has one of the most experienced crews of any liveaboard vessel in the country. From March to June, she travels to Tubbataha, the Philippines' diving jewel, where guests may enjoy five days of diving in the UNESCO heritage site's atolls and reefs. The M/Y resolute navigates around the island of Cebu during the colder months of July to October, treating divers to whale sharks, thresher sharks, and colorful creatures. The ship next goes to Apo Reef, the world's second biggest continouos reef, which is home to hammerhead sharks, reef sharks, barracudas, and other pelagics. She spends the rest of the year in Batangas, making weekly journeys from her home base in Anilao to the Verde Island Passage and Puerto Galera.During the Cold War, the M/Y Resolute served as a Soviet espionage trawler, which is an unusual and unique history. Originally called as "Dzambul," it was built in Russia's Vladivostok Shipyard in 1974. She was purchased and transformed into a full-service dive vessel a few years after retirement. For nearly 15 years, she has been leading divers to the Philippines' most fascinating and inaccessible diving spots. She has also taken part in underwater archeological expeditions and surveys (Esperanza, Panagatan cays 1999; Hispaniola 2000; Santa Cruz 2001). (from 1998 to 2011). From December 2013 to the first quarter of 2014, the ship assisted Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders in humanitarian work in Tacloban following super typhoon Yolanda (MSF).Meals - Filipino cuisine with some international flair.
